When is Pug Camp?

Pug Camp will be held June 6-9, 2024. You can arrive any time after 2pm on Thursday, if you registered for the extra day, or after 2pm on Friday.

Where is Pug Camp?

Pug Camp will be held at Camp Westmont in Poyntelle, PA.

Is Pug Camp kid friendly
Yes, we have had many kids at Pug Camp.

Who is organizing Pug Camp?

Pug Camp is a division of Pug Squad Inc., a not for profit 501c3.

How much will Pug Camp cost?
Please refer to the Registration page for prices.
What does the registration fee include?

Lodging and meals are included. Dinner Friday night; breakfast, lunch and dinner Saturday; breakfast and lunch on Sunday. All events over the course of the weekend will be an additional fee that goes directly to the rescues running them.

Where do we sleep?

You will be sleeping in cabins/bunks. We will try to keep the number of people in each bunk to about 8. There are a limited number of private and semi-private rooms that have their own bathrooms.

How many people can fit in a private room?

There is only one full or queen size bed in the private rooms. (If you register for a private room, unfortunately, we cannot tell you in advance if you will have a full or queen size bed.) There is a maximum of two people in each private room. We recommend registering for a bunk if there are more than two people you would like to stay with.

Can I bring food, beverages, wine?
Absolutely, you can bring whatever you like! The bunks do not have refrigerators, so if you are staying in the bunk, you will need a cooler or you can use one of the fridges in shared spaces like Girls HQ.
How many people can I bring?

However many you want to pay for!

What will we do all day?

There will be a schedule of events for each day. The schedule will be added to the website about a month before camp.

Is smoking permitted at camp?

No, there is no smoking allowed anywhere on the camp grounds.

Are vendors invited to Pug Camp?

Yes, but there are a limited number of spots for vendors, and only one vendor per category is allowed. Ex. only one vendor that sells dog treats will be allowed. The exception is non-profit groups, which are allowed to sell any items.

Vendors will be accepted on a first come, first served basis. To be eligible as a vendor, you must also register to attend pug camp.  You may register to attend camp and to be a Pug Camp vendor at the same time by signing up here.

The vendor fee is waived for any of the participating non-profit rescue/sanctuary organizations. If you are a non-profit organization, please complete and submit the non-profit application.

Will it be too hot for my pug?

While there is no air conditioning in the rooms, it is quite cool in the mountains. During the day we are outside for activities, and at night, the temperature drops to the 50’s (or lower). So far we have not had any issues with pugs of any age being too hot!

Are dogs other than pugs permitted at Pug Camp?

All dogs are welcome at pug camp as long as they are friendly, non-aggressive dogs. For dogs over 30 lbs, there will be a restriction on the number allowed at camp, so make sure to reserve early if you are coming with a larger dog!

Does my dog need to be up to date on vaccinations?

Owners must bring proof of current rabies vaccination or an exemption letter from a veterinarian for each dog attending to be allowed entry to Pug Camp.  Titers are accepted.  If you have any questions, please email info@pugcamp.com.

Are dogs required to be spayed or neutered?

Yes, dogs are required to be spayed or neutered. If there is a medical reason for which they cannot be,please email info@pugcamp.com and we will evaluate the situation.

I'm flying in, can I rent blankets, sheets, etc.?

Yes, there is a place on the registration form to rent blankets, sheets, pillows, and towels for the weekend if you can’t or don’t want to bring your own.

What is internet access like there?

There is wi-fi. A password will be available once you come to Pug Camp.
