Pug Camp will be held August 24-27, 2023. You can arrive any time after 2pm on Thursday, if you registered for the extra day, or after 2pm on Friday.
Pug Camp will be held at Camp Westmont in Poyntelle, PA.
Pug Camp is a division of Pug Squad Inc., a not for profit 501c3.
Lodging and meals are included. Dinner Friday night; breakfast, lunch and dinner Saturday; breakfast and lunch on Sunday. All events over the course of the weekend will be an additional fee that goes directly to the rescues running them.
You will be sleeping in bunks. We will try to keep the number of people in each bunk to 6. There are a limited number of private rooms that have their own bathrooms.
There is only one full size bed in the private rooms. They are for one or two people. If you want to add a third, you will still need to be charged for that extra person, as we are charged per person by the camp. It would probably be better to stay in a bunk for more than two people.
However many you want to pay for!
There will be a schedule of events for each day. The schedule will be added to the website about a month before camp.
No, there is no smoking allowed anywhere on the camp grounds.
Yes, but there are a limited number of spots for vendors, and only one vendor per category is allowed. Ex. only one vendor that sells dog treats will be allowed. The exception is rescues, which are allowed to sell any items.
Vendors will be accepted on a first come, first served basis. You can sign up here. The vendor fee is waived for any of the participating rescues. If you are a rescue and want to be a vendor, please contact us for the coupon code to have have your fee waived.
While there is no air conditioning in the rooms, it is quite cool in the mountains. During the day we are outside for activities, and at night, the temperature drops to the 50’s (or lower). So far we have not had any issues with pugs of any age being too hot!
All dogs are welcome at pug camp as long as they are friendly, non-aggressive dogs. For dogs over 30 lbs, there will be a restriction on the number allowed at camp, so make sure to reserve early if you are coming with a larger dog!
Yes, you are required to have your vet fill out the Veterinarian Form with dates for your dog’s most recent shots. You need to complete a form for each dog you bring to Pug Camp. Titers are accepted. Failure to do so will mean you will not be allowed entry at Pug Camp, and any money paid will be forfeited.
Yes, dogs are required to be spayed or neutered. If there is a medical reason for which they cannot be, please contact us and we will evaluate the situation.
Yes, there is a place on the registration form to rent blankets, sheets, pillows, and towels for the weekend if you can’t or don’t want to bring your own.
There is wi-fi. A password will be available once you come to Pug Camp.
